Each of the nine essays divided into three sections of Strange Intimacies creates larger mindspaces for readers to dwell on, with Zea Asis's apparent subjects of inquiry as liminal markers from where to accompany her peripatetic mind's hot tangential pursuit of plausible epiphanies, her recursive questions eddying around more questions on human desire, pleasure, complicity, guilt, trauma, anxiety, dread, self-fragmentation-- the whole gamut of existential conundrums that the searching and evolving self opens up for further exploration.
